Finnsters,

If anyone is interested in having their boat Reweighed/Lamboley, I will adjust schedule, please let me know ASAP.

The following Finnsters requested Reweighing/Lamboley, see attached measurement schedule .. Please email me back ASAP and re-confirm. I added the BVBC( April 25) and Zellerbach (May 2 -3)Regattas on the Schedule, BVBC will set us up for a 1 or 2 day Regatta with the Flying Dutchman, let me know if you are planning to sail either or both events, Just say yes or no to either regatta so Peter and I can adjust.

The plan is to measure 4 to 5 boats per day, measurements willl start April 28th, but could possibly start on the 27th, two (2) boats will be measured in the morning and two (2) or three (3) in the afternoon. Measurements could take up to 1.5 hrs per boat. If required, centerboard may be weighed.

Prior to Reweighing/Lamboley at Encinal Y.C, all sailors will have their boats ready for measurement:

1. Have your boat on  your dollie, Leave trailer in Encinal parking lot. Check with Peter A.,Holger or myself.

2. Bring your measurement certificate.

3. Boat will be in a dry condition: painter, mainsheet, paddle, bailing bucket, rudder, boom and mast shall be removed from boat prior to re-weighing.

4. If deck ring, mast step and centerboard pin is movable, they shall be in their maximum aft positions. The centerboard shall be raised so that its lower corner is level with the underneath of the hull (keel bands excluded) (I suggest that you mark your deck ring, mast step and centerboard bolt positions).

4. Mark location of corrector weights prior to removal from Station 0(Stern), leave corrector weights in position where removed (mark position on weights with a Sharpie, therefore, ` distance from station 0 in mm). (Corrector weight removal: recommend heating a spatula, then pry out. (Andy Casey used this technique at Miami, worked well.)

5. If adding digital compass, Remove old Compass (weight check}, leave in boat.

The cost for measurements per boat is $100.00 to help with expenses and additional monies over expenses will go to USAFA.   Depending on how calibration goes, we could start on Monday so 5 more slots would be available.  Peter and I are here as measurers and to optimize your boats to the new weight requirment.
